Bruce Tyler, AIA, LEED Ap, Baskerville

Bruce was a Principal at Baskervill for 37 years and served as President for 17 years. During his time as President the firm expanded its business from Virginia to more than twenty states. Today, he is principal emeritus and continues to practice architecture at Baskervill.  

Bruce served on the City Council of Richmond from January 2007 until December 2012. During his tenure he was able to reduce city operating cost by millions of dollars, reduce the tax rate, and successfully turn the Richmond Deep Water Terminal over to the Virginia Port Authority.  Today, Bruce serves on four non-profit boards all working to improve children’s lives in our community.  

Bruce has been married to Pat Tyler for 45 years. Together, they have two grown children, who are married, and they have one grandson.
