We often get inquiries about how to become a member of the Kiwanis Club of Richmond. We welcome your interest and hope you will consider joining us after you learn more.
First, we invite you to come to a meeting. We meet on Mondays at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture; the meeting starts at 12:30, but folks start getting there between 11:30 and 12 for lunch. We offer a hot lunch buffet for $16, first come first served.
At the meeting, you will receive information packet that includes a membership application. Dues are $440 a year prorated depending on what month you join (members who oin the Club Satellite are eligible for a discount on their dues.)
If you are ready to join now, you can fill out our online membership application HERE.
Attendance is not required at the Monday meetings, but meetings are one of the best “perks” of our service club. It’s where you can meet other members, network, and of course, hear some pretty fantastic speakers. Our program committee works hard to have high-caliber, interesting speakers, and we usually have about 100 folks at the meeting each week. If you can’t make a Monday meeting, we offer a virtual option through Zoom.
We also encourage involvement in our service projects and commitment to at least one of our many committees. Some are focused on “club business” while others are focused on our mission of serving children in the Richmond area. We partner with several local non-profit groups as well as Richmond Public Schools, and we have both one-time and long-term projects; there are service projects that fit anyone’s schedule and availability.
