Beyond the Monday Meeting
Kiwanis fellowship doesn’t end at noon on Mondays. Members gather throughout the month in smaller, more casual settings that make it easy to stay connected, meet new people, and strengthen the relationships that make our service possible.
Club Satellite Meeting: Mekong Restaurant
Members of Club Satellite gather around a table at Mekong Restaurant on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings of the month. Each meeting is filled with fellowship, collaboration, and creativity.
Club Satellite has spearheaded a partnership with the RPS Center for Families in Transition, supporting high school seniors in paying graduation fees and purchasing holiday gifts for RPS families who experience housing insecurities. They are stewards of the Little Free Libraries, set up book fairs with George W. Carver Elementary School, and organize author visits for children to enjoy.
East End Satellite Meeting: East End Library
Our East End group gathers at the East End Library (and by Zoom) on 1st Thursdays and hosts a fully virtual meeting on 3rd Wednesdays of the month. Each meeting provides a space for community building that’s focused on the East End of Richmond City.
The East End Satellite group has built a partnership with Fairfield Court Elementary School, participating in Fluency Fridays and Terrific Kids celebrations. They are actively engaged in spreading the good work of Kiwanians, branching out to new schools for literacy development and Key Club partnerships.
