Carver Adopt-A-School Update

This year’s $10,000 Adopt-A-School grant was designated to upgrade Carver Elementry’s reading resource room. This week, the shelves arrived, well-ahead of the projected “back order” predicted time.  The attached image portrays a delighted Carver school group.  The mood of excitement was palpable!!  

Yesterday, the new Reading Coach, Ms. Sherry Paulchell, and Bob Rogers unloaded the various components of the shelving and transported them to the Reading Coach’s designated room. Ms. Paulchell is in the process of sorting through and updating the materials in the room. Within the next few weeks, the new shelves will be assembled and stocked.  Bob will be calling on several Kiwanians to aid school personnel in that assembly process. 

Principal Giles will send out a more formal dedication announcement sometime in the early fall. It will be a nice celebration of our Kiwanis Club’s partnership with Carver. Together, we are doing good work!
