Ethiopia, globally known as the birthplace of coffee, is famous for “buna,” a coffee-making ceremony that involves roasting, grinding and brewing beans while partaking in a community-oriented tradition.
It’s time for another Diversity Committee outing. We’re going on Tuesday, August 29, at 10 am to Buna Kurs, 402 1/2 N Second St, Richmond. You may have seen a recent article in the RTD about this new Ethiopian café. On Sundays, they have a coffee ceremony open to all. The owner has kindly offered to include the coffee ceremony for our event! The menu is on the website: https://bunakursrva.com/
Please RSVP to Susan Campbell, susan.campbell@dignitymemorial.com by Thursday, August 24.
