Jonathan Cook, President/CEO, LifeSpire of Virginia: Aging In Place

  • Virginia Museum of History & Culture 428 South Arthur Ashe Boulevard Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

On March 20 we will host a Q&A style presentation moderated by Lakewood at Home Community Outreach Coordinator and fellow Kiwanian Brenda Davis, with Jonathan Cook, President/CEO of  LifeSpire of Virginia. Prior to joining LifeSpire of Virginia in 2014, Mr. Cook worked for Life Care Services LLC, where in his tenure he served as both Executive Director and in the regional position of Director of Operations Management. He has more than 19 years of experience in the senior living/elder care field, including experience in multi-site continuing care retirement communities. He is a graduate of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Some of the topics they intend to cover include:

  • The biggest changes in the senior care industry over the past 30 years;

  • Trends in aging nationwide;

  • Differences between for-profit and nonprofit approach in senior living communities;

  • Differences between a CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Communities) and other types of facilities; and

  • Realities to consider when choosing to “age in place” in your own home.
