Four Remarkable Richmond Business Stories

Presented in collaboration with the Virginia Museum of History & Culture

The Kiwanis Club of Richmond was founded in the spring of 1919 at the close of a decade that witness the signing of the Treaty of Versailles ending World War I, the Prohibition amendment to the U.S. Constitution was approved by three fourths of the states, and Congress approved the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote. During this same period the Richmond business community was thriving and included, among others, four diverse companies that continue today serving local, national and international customers.

Join us this spring for talks about these businesses. Following each talk, members of the Club will be invited upstairs to the VMHC Library to view archives related to each of these businesses:
