Bob Argabright & Carolyn Schuyler: Discovering Nature Through the Eyes of a Child

  • Virginia Museum of History & Culture 428 South Arthur Ashe Boulevard Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

Bellemeade Park is far from your average outdoor public space. So, what makes it so special? People at the park would say the story begins with Mr. Bob.

Bob Argabright is president of Friends of Bellemeade Park. The park sits just behind the Bellemeade Community Center and Oak Grove Elementary School, where children love to learn and use their imaginations. Thanks to city funding, donors, and volunteers - Mr. Bob’s vision for the park gives adults and children alike a safe space to enjoy.

Carolyn Schuyler, Director of the Nature Connection Lab, a nonprofit that works to bring nature connection programs, is assisting Friends of Bellemeade in developing curriculum and training staff.

Together, they are bringing programs focused on creating joyous experiences for children and youth that promote learning and building skills in a beautiful and safe outdoor environment.
