Dr. Robert Lowerre has served as the Director of the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School in Richmond Virginia for the past four years.  Prior to arriving at Maggie Walker, he was the Principal of Tucker High School for four years and the Principal of Virginia Randolph Community High School for ten years, both in Henrico County.  He has earned degrees from Virginia Tech, Virginia Commonwealth University, and received his Gifted Education endorsement from The University of Virginia.  Dr. Lowerre has spent 25 years in public education and considers himself to have been blessed to have had such a rewarding career.  He lives in Glen Allen with Tracy, his wife of 27 years, where they raised two wonderful kids who have served their country, one as a current naval officer and one as a retired Peace Corps volunteer.
