Barry F. Moore Jr., who previously served on the Better Business Bureau’s Central Virginia branch’s board, became its president and CEO in January 2022. Moore was on the BBB-CV board from 2010 to 2016 and was general manager of Haley Buick GMC Midlothian. He and his wife moved to Pittsburgh in 2018 and own a dumpster company franchise, redbox + of South Pittsburgh. He returned to the Richmond area for his new position while his wife continues their Pittsburgh franchise.

Barry grew up in New Jersey and moved to Richmond in 1999. A graduate of Seton Hall University who also has received leadership training at the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, Barry was named the Richmond Retail Merchants Association’s Retailer of the Year and won Chesterfield County’s Impact Award in 2014. 

Barry has a passion for the BBB brand and the Richmond community. BBB Central Virginia serves Richmond, the Tri-Cities, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg, as well as surrounding counties, and promotes responsible, honest and ethical business practices.
